Be encouraged! God is on the move in Spokane. But we need your help and invite you to give sacrificially to a ministry that we know is close to God’s heart.

Will you consider contributing to our
year end goal of $200,000
to make these dreams a reality?

Give L I F E to your story.

Last year we invited you to come alongside Spokane Youth For Christ in our pursuit to double our ministry reach in 2017. We shared our desire to open two new youth centers in the city, and announced the launch of a brand new core ministry program, Unified Underground (UU). Your partnership and prayer helped these dreams become not only attainable, but an overwhelming success. While these ministries have been in motion and growing since January, we’ve been especially excited to see how they’ve come full circle this month through kickoff events! Visit "Minicon" and "Grand Opening" to read more about these events!

As we look to 2018 Spokane Youth for Christ is excited to press deeper into establishing a presence in East Central. Many good churches and ministries have done, and are doing, great work in this under-resourced part of Spokane. We are therefore taking a listening, learning, and serving posture above all other strategies with these friends. Current partner discussions are already happening with local churches; we are not going to do this alone. We need help particularly from churches; the backbone of any community!

In addition, we are in the initial stages of crafting a plan to start a ministry to incarcerated youth called Juvenile Justice Ministry, or JJM. On any given day in the US there are over 500,000 teens actively incarcerated in local detention centers. The sad fact is that for many of these young people the detention center is the only place they feel safe, have reliable meals, are sober, or are not facing constant verbal abuse. It is also a place of deep despair for many, but a place where they have the time to think about their lives with a clear mind and an open heart. It is during this time that they are most open to hearing the transformational message of Jesus. We hope to engage Spokane youth via relational outreach in a variety of youth-serving institutions (detention centers, probation, correctional facilities, group homes, residential treatment centers and emergency shelters).
